Boy’s Varsity Water Polo loses 11-10 in opening game
Boy’s water polo lost narrowly to Edison High on Aug. 31
On Aug. 31 at 3 p.m., the RUHS boy’s varsity water polo team played their opening game against Edison High School and lost by 11-10. According to senior Scott Fujiwara, the Edison water polo team “got ahead of us in the third quarter, but we stood firmly on the ground during the fourth quarter and got back.”
“You know, it didn’t go as planned, but overall, I don’t think it was too bad,” Fujiwara said. “We have a lot to improve on technique-wise.”
Boy’s varsity water polo played their next game on Sept. 3 against Long Beach Polytechnic High School.
“The team, we have good chemistry, which I think is gonna be the number one to pull us to the top,” Fujiwara said.
