Boys Lacrosse takes first loss of the season against Northridge High School
Boys lacrosse took their first lost of the season 5-3 Feb.26 against Northridge High School.
The team knew that Northridge was going to be a tough team to play against, but considering the advanced level their opponent had, junior Kenji Mitsubishi, thinks that the team did a good job.
“It was a very difficult team to play against, they’re ranked pretty high and we weren’t so confident going into it but considering how good their players were, we preformed pretty okay,” Mitsubishi said.
Along with some missing players on attack, junior Nolan Abdelsayed thought the team were missing key winning shots.
“[Our team] was taking a lot of shots but not a lot of them were getting past [Northridges’] goalie because [the goalie] was pretty good,” Abdelsayed said.
Putting this game behind the team, senior Emilio Venezuela is aiming for no more losses throughout the season and for a record breaking of twelve wins.
“[Our team] is hoping to beat our record from last year of ten wins and try to get another winning season. But the main goal is to get twelve wins and to beat Mira Costa,” Venezuela said.
